Le osservazioni dei NASA's three space telescopes Hubble, Spitzer and Chandra, each operating in a particular band of the electromagnetic spectrum, have achieved this wonderful image of the famous Antennae galaxies, a pair of interacting galaxies caught in the act of colliding. The clash between the galaxies is not a rare event and, far from having destructive consequences, can trigger intense star formation processes. In the case of the Antennae galaxies, about 62 million light-years away in the constellation of the Southern Crow, the clash began about 100 million years and their interaction are starting a host of new areas as particularly bright stars visible in the image of NASA.
